Where is Craftchester might be a better question.

Craftchester is actually my home city, Manchester England, just viewed through the eyes of one crafty girl. Me.

I don’t know what this blog will grow into, I like to think of it as a ball of yarn at the moment. So much potential to turn into something much bigger and impressive, but right now it’s still kinda small and I haven’t decided just how this project will turn out. This post is like casting on (or the foundation chain for the crocheters in our midst), from here things will take form, but for now this is the beginning.

The “pattern” I’m working from now is that this blog will be part craft journal with information on the projects I’m making now and what is inspiring me. Part of it will be a city guide to Manchester, as well as giving a little bit of local history. And overall, it will be about how Manchester can become Craftchester, a town with plenty of opportunities to craft, lists of where to go for supplies as well as finding out about crafters in the city. And maybe, just maybe people reading Craftchester will be inspired to help build their own Townsville into Craftsville or Cityborough into Craftborough.
